Our organizer's ability to build power in the swing states will be one of the key factors determining how the next several decades plays out in this country. If Black and Brown communities are able to consistently have a powerful voice in these states, it will have a massive impact on policy and leadership at the highest levels.
These are states with large, disenfranchised Black and Brown populations. Organizers in these states typically receive very few resources, but with proper support have the potential to build significant power. Support here helps combat some of the country's worst policies and leaders, and - over the long term - have the potential to go from red to purple and become the next Georgia and Arizona.

They play a pivotal role in turning out voters, building narratives and keeping issues relevant in the national press, and supporting networks of smaller organizers. Their leaders are some of the most well-known and effective civil rights leaders of this era.
